Welcome to UX Book Club Sydney!
We are reading: Shape Up by Ryan Singer
About the book
Instead of traditional agile methods that can lead to backlogs, it suggests a cycle of six weeks of focused work followed by two weeks for reflection and planning. The key principles are shaping, betting, and building. Shaping outlines problems and solutions at a high level. Betting selects which projects to focus on. Building involves focused work on one project at a time. This approach aims to enhance efficiency and output in product development.

What is it all about?
Between 10 and 30 people turn up every two months to discuss a book about user experience design. It is a fun, friendly and relaxed event where you can meet other people working in the industry. The books are mostly about pure UX but sometimes we have a little fun and read something that relates to design but is not just about design.
There are heaps of meetups about UX - the bookclub is special because we get to slow things down a little and talk with each other.
